Ok so since I got my p85 I've been wanting to kinda keep a daily riding log. So starting this morning as it being 4:01am here in West by God Virginia I just rode my bike to work. That is about a 7 mile ride. I had some overheating issues a few times. Had to shut her down and let her cool while I would walk or pedal. Today I did not have to. I think I have figured out how to not have that issue occur. It's worth noting that out of the 7 miles there is probably a good 2 to 2 1/2 miles of my ride is hill. I am still tossing the idea of getting the chop top but then that would require basically another break in sorta right?

That is a great idea. I guess putting a daily ride log in a chat forum would be pretty bland content lol
No it wouldn't, it's been done kinda sorta before. That's why we're here, to talk about motorized bikes and our experiences.

A tachometer, can help a lot to keep you from over heating. This way you'll know exactly what your engine is doing.

Are you throttling back going down hill to keep from over revving?

Are you pedal assisting on all take-offs/starts?

Do you have a multi-speed bicycle so that you can select the most efficient gear to pedal assist with when climbing hills?

I do not have a tach but I will get one now. Going down hill I disengage the clutch so u can just coast down the hill. I do pedal assist to start. I kinds have a bad habit if not pedaling enough and trying to start it. I've gotten Better at it though

You need to leave some throttle on going down long grades because with a 2 stroke oil is mixed into the gas.
