Hahaha holcomb valley fawnskin butler peek gold fever trail (I think its called) grew up around those names. Used to ride mini bikes, my trail 90 and my vespa moped to all those names


Grew up in wilmington with a family home i. Big bear lake. Used to run a muck up the hill


Mountain top ranger station has always told us keep a spark arrestor on it. Dont do anything stupid they wont f*** with us unless we ask for it nor have they ever
 
I lived in Big Bear starting in 1970 to 1975 when family sent me from Boston to finish my High School at Big Bear Lake High School before going to college.

During the summers, I was a fire lookout for the USFS assigned to Butler Peak Fire Lookout Tower along with my father, my fathers third wife and my older brother, all because we all possessed 20/10 vision which was a real necessity trying to find "smokies" through the California smog when the inversion layers set in.

I also lived in San Bernardino thereafter with the family of the Grand Master of Masonry, California lodges on Parkdale Drive whilst attending college...He also sponsored me when I joined the Freemasons at that time

I wss born in 83 so different times. But I was riding my trail 90 and my vespa grande (I kept both but didnt leave them at the house) around big bear at like 8 or 9 for the vespa and liek 11 or 12 for the trail 90, id ride them to the arcade in the village go watch a movie, what ever it was freedom. First couple if times the sheriff lit me up I all but pissed myself they would follow be back to the fox farms (yea we played in the old cages in the back yard) wave to my parents or grand parents and not even stop. We used to have a 62 international scout up there. Lots of stories ill shut up

I used to go to that arcade myself when I was a teenager...lol...And the movie theater was almost right next to the Jack in the Box when I was there and just across the street from Chad's restaurant, the site of Michael Landons movie from the 50s, I Was A Teenage Werewolf where he was thrown through the plate glass window in one scene...lol.

I haven't been there in 50 years now but can remember it all quite vividly and especially Old Miners Days...lol.

Lotta emotions right now.

I had a motorcycle accident in 2009. Not many memories from before. Youre triggering so many good child hood memories. This is so hard for me, not your concern. But thank you.
