Risky's 2008 Ambassador II Whizzer Rebuild

All of the secondary CVT stuff is disconnected while I get the engine running.

Thanks... video and carb info tomorrow. Will also check the valve lash with carb off set it before engine install
Ok I was going to mention that you recheck valve lash settings.

But sounds like you are on top of it.

You can always take the known good working carb off NE-5 Gator and put it on the Ambassador just to see if the engine runs good
Then you'll know for sure you gotta dial in the Ambassador carb

That's what having multiple bikes is nice for. Troubleshooting purposes & test parts if needed.

In this picture, it looks like a gap at the bottom of the block to intake connection. It will cause a high idle. Smear a little Vaseline under there and see if the idle changes.

On the left is mix screw from 16 mm carb that came stock. On right is one from new 22mm carb

At vert tip of big one it measures about 075mm and the small on left is 049mm

Remember there is an o ring that seals these carbs.. but don’t think there was a “gap”
