Risky's 2008 Ambassador II Whizzer Rebuild

So just for fun, I mounted the "new" set up carb from you know who, and guess what? Will only run with choke on.... was running prefect with my NE5 carb. This one (it came back with both screws fully close so I set up with standard idle set a 1/2 turn and mixture screw at 1.5 out....

Tried many adjustments but will only run with choke on... checked bowl and it has plenty of gas....

He said it was "Way too lean" in it's stock conditon. .......
Exact same problem I've had many times. I have a thread about it.

Note that on the carb was the tape notes " 68 031 I assume that is the jets he put in?
Does my 22mm Taiwan PTF Kie Hin Carb look like yours ?
I use a 85 main 34 pilot and needle 2CKRP
Pilot and needle came with the carb but I put in the 85 main

Notice - 002 ZIW stamped on the flange
I wonder if that was stamped for Whizzer 2000 model bikes WIZ 200_
Maybe Taiwan worker stamped it backwards 002 ZIW because don't know English ?

Both carbs are different. Wrench carb is a 20mm. Risk carb is a 22mm original Whizzer carburetor.

That looks like the carb that originally came on my bike

After about 15k miles the flange warped and the float bowl warped - It leaked gas from the float bowl gasket
Rather than try and fix it I got a new 22mm carb from Q. That's the carb carb I got on my bike today
Q got the crab from Whizzer USA

The replacement I got is better than the first

So just for fun, I mounted the "new" set up carb

This carb is different than the one Q just sent you, The Flange corners are round, It's not the carb I asked you to compare to mine
It's alot different than mine, Markings and the Flange

Post #254 and #257 are pictures of the "new" 22mm carb I got from Paul and Sent to Q for set up and did not work. Here are two more shots.... no markings on it at all....The most recent picture I posted was of the NE5 carb from the Gator that I put back on the bike and runs fine as it did on the NE5 and the Ambassador prior to trying the "new' set up carb. The new one is very light metal compared to my original NE5 carb and does not look as high of quality. That is about all I can tell you right now without taking the NE5 carb off of the bike and putting them side-by-side which perhaps I can do next week. Need to leave the bike as is right now so I can ride it Sunday...... Thanks for the input here. I appreciate it.
