Risky's 2008 Ambassador II Whizzer Rebuild

I put this carb on the Gator bike but it appears the throttle cable is not long enough to allow the slide to go all the way down,, When I finally got it started, no surprise the engine raced at minimum throttle position. See pik of the “long” stop on the carb cap… ideas?

If you're careful you can shorten the casing on the cable the correct amount. It takes a good measurement first, if you make an error, make the casing a little short. You can always adjust it. I cut one with a hacksaw blade, just keep going around and don't hit the cable.

maybe that elbow is too long.
maybe ya just need a short cable adjuster.

Ya probably don't even need the jam nut #3

The elbow will unscrew from the cap
This one is attracted with a retainer ring .. non removable. Took old one from ambassador 16mm carb and it fit and gave me 1/2 inch additional play. Got the Gator back on the road.. still need some adjustments as full throttle bogs unless eased into
