Welp, I learned the hard way to open the clutch cover too once in a while to make sure everything is tight in there as well or at least when I do a new build take things off and add some blue loctite. Had the little bevel gear screw come out and lost 8mm of its threads from just floating around. Crank looks fine though. I sized the bolt and threads and found out the stock one is a bit short right out of the box so Im off to the hardware store to get a stainless bolt and a proper sized washer. M8x1.00 at 16mm long ought to do it and I can trim that if I need to make it just right. I have to ask though is there any further nuance to this small bevel gear I should know about before just simply replacing the bolt/screw that came out?

This should be all...
Once again, Gordy. Noice! Thank you.

Reasons why Im going with a longer bolt from the hardware store and a washer. This stock bolt looked like it was a wee bit short to begin with.

Based on the depth measurement I took on the hole in the crank.

I thought all M8 bolts were 1.25 ???...I know they are for the four top head/cylinder studs.

If this is the case, you may need to helicoil that sucker to get some threads back in from what you got stripped out.

No, apparently this one is a machine tool store exclusive but yeah, you cant find 1.00 anywhere else. The crank is actually fine. Threads are fine but my thread gauge says its M8x1.00. M8x1.00 is a thing as its on my thread gauges but apparently no one uses that size for much of anything cept aircraft and apparently chinese applications.

I have a suggestion for your thread gauge's next Christmas present.😉

I have a Japanese set that is older than I am. I dont know if anything from the chinese jungle store would be better.
