I bought this old seat I put in my truck for 50 bucks at the salvage yard. The truck I got it out of was scheduled for the crusher that day and I was told if I got to it before the crusher I could have the seats and any other parts off that truck for 50 bucks. Lucky for me the few parts I wanted off that truck (seat and dash parts) had all been unbolted and were in the floor pan. It was as simple as pulling them out if the cab. I miss that old truck more than anything.Saving money in salvage yards is ine if the most satisfying things.
I have people I have networked with over the years that call me up or send me a text to let me know about good stuff I may be interested in sometimes even before the public gets a crack at it. Networking is important. Put a name with your face and do business with real people and you get treated different in a good way.I bought this old seat I put in my truck for 50 bucks at the salvage yard. I've gotten pretty good connections for parts a d ehat not already. My friend Bob I've helped a ton with his old Plymouth hot rod. He's sich an awesome guy and I've helped him for nothing on it. He wanted to get his car wired up and didn't know how, so he asked if I could wire it for him. I told him I'd do it for free but he wouldn't let me do it for free. He gave me 300 bucks and I got to ha g out with him in his garage for a few days after school.I have people I have networked with over the years that call me up or send me a text to let me know about good stuff I may be interested in sometimes even before the public gets a crack at it. Things still got its rocker panels, My 2005 Colorado rocker panels are 60% gone, Also known for rotting frames. Got a hole starting right below driver door about 1"x3" I'm gonna address when it warms up before it gets too bad.I bought this old seat I put in my truck for 50 bucks at the salvage yard. The only rust that truck had was a few pinholes above the rear wheels. My '94 is even cleaner.Things still got its rocker panels, My 2005 Colorado rocker panels are 60% gone, Also known for rotting frames.
