Is it the type that you have to take the end off and use the threads?

Yes, it's like the plug boot that goes on the plug keeps wanting to slip back up

I've got a car nip one and thought anout just changing out the ends, is that hard to do? Changing out the spark plug wire or just the end?

You may be able to do that, I forget whether the tops of spark plugs are different sized or not. I'd snap the car one on the plug real quick, and if it fits give it a shot. And at least on mine the tip of the plug wire just screws off.

Ok I'll for sure do some research on it. The cat nip one fits better so hopefully I can just change it out. I for sure do not like the catnip CDI though, it had way less power with it. The 4th generation grubee cdi kit is great so far all except the plug boot

It's hard to get it to idle at that, it will at 2500 but I've heard high performance engines will idle a little higher

There has to be an air leak then. You should be able to idle it down until it stalls. Or your throttle cable is too short.

Most of my builds like to idle between 2-3k
