could be a good thread for our guests to read :)

"Wear a real DOT-approved helmet."

"Check your spokes after or before every ride."

edit: removed the "one post, one tip" part.

Don't let cagers bully you (they may wanna buzz you if you're right on the shoulder, but will give you more room if they have to; plus this'll give you room to maneuver around potholes, carcasses, rocks, ect)

Make sure the bicycle is in really good mechanical shape before you even think about putting an engine on.

The little tool you get in the kit is there for a reason....befor you get on your bike tighten the nuts at the muffler, head, and mounting brackets also make sure the tension wheel is tight any lost nuts at any of these spots will give a wild ride and a long walk back.

dont over tighten your chains.
dont put to much slime in your tires they will explode.
dont over tighten nuts or bolts
tighten your drive sproket as even as u can
dont let anyone ride your bike who doesnt know what they are doing
flip your motor upside down and take it apart if you siezed it. to keep the pieces of rings from falling down into the bottom end.

When you see a car in your mirror, count one mississippi, two mississippi, they usually pass in eight mississippis (unless your in Kansas, then its like 30 mississippis).

NEVER ask somebody from Georgia for directions, and never ask somebody from Virginia for advise....they thrive on bogus. ;)
