Hello,
ive been seeing a lot of the schwinn choppers lately and ive been thinking of getting one instead of the bike im getting (kmart bike). i was wondering how the spokes hold up on them.do they bend easy? and is the anything else that i would need to get it mounted right?also if the standard engine mounts work is there anywhere i could buy new strong one on the net?
-Thanks Bazz

I wouldn't recommend one for a first build - needs a lot of custom work to get it right and that kind of skill comes only with experience at building these.

Schwinn choppers are plenty sturdy. Like crassius said, adding a motor to them is much tougher than motorizing a normal beach cruiser or mountain bike. Engine must be mounted offset to the left to allow the motor chain to clear that fat rear tire.

They sell the offset motor mount on eBay I just bought one and I bought a 41 chain to put on it.you also have to buy a different muffler
