ive been seeing a lot of the schwinn choppers lately and ive been thinking of getting one instead of the bike im getting (kmart bike). i was wondering how the spokes hold up on they bend easy? and is the anything else that i would need to get it mounted right?also if the standard engine mounts work is there anywhere i could buy new strong one on the net?
    -Thanks Bazz

I wouldn't recommend one for a first build - needs a lot of custom work to get it right and that kind of skill comes only with experience at building these.

Schwinn choppers are plenty sturdy. Like crassius said, adding a motor to them is much tougher than motorizing a normal beach cruiser or mountain bike. Engine must be mounted offset to the left to allow the motor chain to clear that fat rear tire.
