What do you think about the chamber on those heads? Got one with my zms case reed and it was way off. Wondering if it was corrected.
Their are so many different ones out their it's hard to know what your going to end up with. .
The ones I use to get from kings with fins that converged towards the plug had a good ID at the crush ring with a little to much squish area and 6cc volume.
These have the same fin design as the Kings heads but they had a much narrower ID at the crush ring and way to much squish band. Honestly I didn't check the volume I just guessed from the look of the chamber's appearance compared to others I have.
The ID at the crush ring was 42.7mm so I opened it up to 47mm. I'll check the real volume today and post it later. I got these ones from BMW. As much as I hate to say it the ones from kings (converging fins) were definitely better. However the latest ones from Kings with the domed fin design have to shallow a cut at the squish band. It sure would be nice if one of these idiots could just get one with a 6cc chamber, 47mm at the crush, proper angle at the squish, and 50% squish to chamber surface ratio, and then leave it the f*** alone.
Kings use to have a 6cc domed one that was tits, but they screwed that up. Anyways these still give better performance then a stock head once corrected, and with the G4 jug being for the A type engine it's a easy way to add some compression without decking the jug.
Had to go to the G4's because 6 of the 8 kits I got from Zeda had s**t jugs.
All the Firestorms I have gotten from Bicycle Engines,com were good. The Zedas from BMW were good. Both BEC and BMW shipped fast. Both have great cust. service. It took over 4 months for Zeda to fill my last order of 5 stock kits and never did complete it. Finally I just said screw it. Chalked up my losses, and just started ordering elsewhere.
