So about 1/3 of the way home from my weekly raw milk run, the rear tire started doing funny things and I discovered that I had a screw embedded not only in the tread, but right through the sidewall. Not fixable roadside, which meant a 3 hour walk home.
I'll try to save the tire (Schwalbe) by sewing it up with dental floss, then gluing a car tire patch to the inside.
I'm usually VERY careful about running over debris, but this little bastard escaped my attention.
