Second build

Clear coat is one of the best things to happen to bikes, autos and m/c's to protect the paint over the long haul. If done right unlike some GM model years. What does the 2k stand for on the above can of paint? For a moment I thought that was the cost.

Two stage automotive paint, there is the paint and the activator. Know as 2k paint. the first component in BC/CC.

Question for you guy. I need to stretch my rear dropouts to fit a 17” moped wheel. Would it stretch ok with the crossmember or should I cut it out?

@DAMIEN1307 stretched his by hand half an inch. I'm not sure if the brace will be a problem. I would try to stretch it before cutting anything
I’m just worried about it bending unevenly with the brace. since the tubes go all the way to the headtube, I feel like it would be better to bend from higher up the tube, closer to the seat post. I don’t know tho. I’ve never done this before

You should be able to spread your rear dropouts a inch without cutting your cross bar. I've only had to cut the cross bar once & it was for almost 2 inches of spread on the rear drop out.
