You don't want to force a square corner in there, or you might kink the frame. Just round it off, belt sander works good.

I also bolted the front of the seat to the frame. I couldn’t get a seat post clamp tight enough to not move side to side and rub the tires during turns

With just a bolt thru the shock and piece of sissy bar....whats to stop this joint from acting like a hinge and bend forward or back? Even with the front of the seat bolted in 2 places I'd be worried that connection would buckle forward or back.

What about a second bolt or pin or ? above the 1st one,. Just a thought

I just recently picked up a welder. I may remake them in the spring. The sissy bar sits flush on shock and small part that goes inside of the sissy bar. I’m working on ways to make it better. For example I was reading up last night and per @DAMIEN1307 I ordered the JRL Bofeng carb.

I plan on using 17” moped wheel in the rear and 26” bike wheel in the front.
