Too big, and not a flathead. Those flatheads sound wicked. You can get ghost racing engine from harbor freight. A 212 that spins right up to 6k. Or a tillotson 212! Those spin up to 10k.

Howdy, just ordered a 98cc from gopowersports. It's going on my 23' Rover along with a 30 series torque converter. If interested I will post.Too big, and not a flathead. Those flatheads sound wicked.
Sounds cool and I'd naturally love to see it, but I personally am not interested in swapping one on. I love old Briggs flatheads and want to use one of those. But feel free to post your bike, we'd love to see it!Howdy, just ordered a 98cc from gopowersports. It's going on my 23' Rover along with a 30 series torque converter. If interested I will post.
Im very excited. Have been planning build for a while and have most parts collected. I have maxed out performance of the Lifan and it's a good engine but limiting in upgrades. Please check out the best brake upgrade I have found for the phatmoto.
The steel bracket is what really provides the strength. The area drilled for bracket bolt is very thick. Never go full throttle for long periods and you will be fine. I think the Lifan is good other than no aftermarket upgrades are available like other engines. My biggest complaint with the phatmoto is the vibration caused by the seat post jack shaft. My goal is to eliminate that for a smoother experience and faster top speed.Be careful with cutting and drilling that frame. Aluminum can be pretty finicky with structural integrity. But overall nice job. The governor delete will give you more top end, but be careful of the flywheel, they can blow up.
It will be ok on brake upgrade. Thanks for the reply.Be careful with cutting and drilling that frame. Aluminum can be pretty finicky with structural integrity. But overall nice job. The governor delete will give you more top end, but be careful of the flywheel, they can blow up.
I just wanted to make sure.It will be ok on brake upgrade. Thanks for the reply.
I think cars and cameras did the sameHowdy, just ordered a 98cc from gopowersports. It's going on my 23' Rover along with a 30 series torque converter. If interested I will post.
Could you send a link? I have only found one using the original jack shaft on the bike frame with belt pulley on there. This only eliminates one chain from vibrating.I think cars and cameras did the same
