If it's so difficult for you, well you can keep your opinions to yourself! I'd sure hate to see you get a hernia stretching your eyes and brains that far for a comprehension of my journey into motorized bicycles.... Thanks and bye bye..The Great Wall Of China, (AKA, The Great Wall Of Text), is really hard on the eyes to read so I will not be reading this one nor will I be correcting it either as my wet eye macular degeneration makes it quite difficult for me to read it like this, let alone trying to correct this faux pas.
50mmWhat is the bore on the BT100?
Nice way to talk to a moderator of the forum that is just pointing out something to a forum member for the mutual good of all concerned. If it's so difficult for you, well you can keep your opinions to yourself! Would you now care to compound this felony or just accept the kindly reminder not to post things as a solid wall of text ???
Do not battle with forum moderators, you WILL lose everytime.
So the aluminum ports don't match the iron ports at all except for the exhaust which is full of aluminum. I kinda expected that when you pay 100$ to get a cylinder to your house that it wouldn't need hours porting and a finish hone!! Plus the head to fit the cylinder ( that has no squish band) another 60$ . During this time of my learning lesson on China motors I thought ( not knowing) these engines were some what universal!!! Lol. I wasted time and money on buying some yd100 stuff thinking I will save some money. NOT. I say this because I'm on disability now, so limited money limits and only get paid once a month. I have tools to do the work on bigger bore motors but in order to reach the transfer ports I'm in need of a right angle air die grinder. Expensive units..
I found Napa had some on closeout. Great. Except they are finicky and you can only use actual 3.2 mm bits, more money and time and 3.2 mm bits are hard to find that are affordable. I bought an actual rotary tool which helped. 38$ at Walmart sale. I found a cable operated right angle grinder piece on Amazon 50$ and it is way better than the air driven one! So I'm porting and checking my numbers and something wasn't adding up. The numbers from what I do know ( not a lot on the numbers) wanted me to raise the cylinder 1.5 2.0 mm a shave the cylinder off!! Hahaha again eBay! I finally checked my stroke and it's only 38mm not the 40 it supposed to be and advertised as. Some one swapped the stock crank with the AliExpress 38mm 80cc . And here I am. I bought some weird bearings that would allow me to put a yd100 crankshaft in it and at least get to see how a40mm stroke works and it's looking good. I did lower the intake port and open it up wider , I widened the exhaust and bumped it up maybe.5 .75 mm but so far I have only matched the transfer ports and angled them towards the intake side of the cylinder. With the yd crank the TDC position looks good and the bdc position stops on the bottom of the exhaust port now!!
After asking bbr on multiple occasions about the BT 100 crankshaft they offer being a true 40mm stroke I have bought one and I'm waiting.
I think the BT 100 has a ton of potential. I love iron sleeves over nickel any day. I'm not really into building 2 strokes with super high RPM. I like the middle of the road but I wanna own the middle of the road. My last Harley was a beast 0- 90 mph. The last snowmobile I owned was hard to hang on to, all torque and acceleration. It would do about 95 top speed but 0- 70 happened in side of 50 yards or less depending on snow conditions and traction. So many people fell off the back because they were not aware of what was about to happen... Lol and I miss race . I'm thinking BT 100 when I'm finished will be able to give that thrill ( lol on a bicycle) . My wife never liked my fast play Toys and after my medical problems she made me get rid of them. Dirt bike, Harley and sled . Lol she has no clue about what I can do with any motor. And when she found out about the bicycle engine building, she was like sure go ahead how much trouble can you get in on a bicycle with an engine.. I'll show her with my first ticket!! I'll post more pictures and details on the numbers when the crank shows up. And I can actually use some help with the port timing numbers. I've never done it with numbers, just what looks good and it's always worked.
Well excuse me for my terrible grammar, don't ever think that I'm not willing to confront power hungry
People wanting to bully people just because they can. Back in my day people couldn't hide behind a screen
And talk s**t about someone's lack of education or disability.
But make no mistake in thinking that I will bow down to you because of your POWER as a moderator
I don't kiss ass , I kick ass. Yes I'm well aware that you are going to kick me off of here!! Like I said in the beginning of this post, I did it against my better judgment and here I am regretting it all ready because of a powerful punk behind a screen. A violent society is a polite society. But have no fear you have a screen between us!!!
But at this point I don't really care to be around POWERFUL people like you, hiding behind a screen. ! I bow to no one except the Lord and you ain't him.
In YOUR case, it is no wonder to me why you are divorced...lol...She probably couldn't stand or wish to put up with your attitude problem either...lol.Diggin25 said:

Port timing is best measured in 90* increments. As in between 0 and 90* before and after tdc, and between 0 and 90* before and after bdc.So I have my new crankshaft and it is a 40mm stroke. My port numbers if I'm correct.
TDC set at 360.
Exhaust:
piston ring timing 97*. Piston top is 103*
Transfer ports: piston ring 115* and piston top 118*
I'm not real good with port timing numbers, I'm just learning about it. But I don't think I have enough blow down time. The cylinder is set with a base gasket at .028" and the piston is flush with cylinder at TDC.
I don't know if I should try and raise the cylinder or raise the exhaust port and from everything that I have read
You have to be careful when raising the exhaust port for various reasons. Ruining the cylinder which I can't afford a new one and I have put a lot of work time into getting it cleaned up and ready to use.
So any good advice is welcome at this point.
