Shark racing Head question

so I ordered a gt7 got it and it's junk so I was gonna use the Head off it for my stock china motor that runs decent my question is is the really a high compression head or a POS would I be better off to just use my stock head

That head you might wanna use a stock head gasket or two, lowering compression. That all depends on your deck height though. What is you deck at? 0?

I have no idea it's all stock if that tells u anything

not really. lol. pop the head off, and place a few washers on the studs, and use some non acorn nuts to tighten it down nice and snug. bring the piston up to tdc. does the dome leave the jug? or use some solder and do a squish test.


if you just barely dent some 1mm solder when doing a squish test, you are very close to on the money for the squish clearance.

The cylinder looks fine, but what is up with that gasket? Looks like it was cut with a torch.

there isn't a gasket on it I think it's just carbon buildup where the cylinder and head meets

it had on I just took it off when I took the head off
