Greetings all! Longtime lurker, now finally intro-ing meeself.
I'm an North County San Diego native and a major enthusiast.
This forum is fantastic. I'm currently riding a Firmstrong Chief
with a Spooky-Tooth 48V, 300W front Hub rig and am not satisfied
with the torque. It's great for the flats, but not for hauling my 250
pound carcass up any slope, so I've been researching for several
months on a higher torque gas powered alternative. I have several
long hills in my area and need some more oomf!!! The info I've found
here is leading me to a 4 stroke setup. Once I finally figure out
which one to shell out the $$$ for, I'll post build pictures.
BTW: the board track racer bikes blow my mind. I know I can build
one for less the the $3K Derringer. That's my goal...
