Can you take a picture of the bottom of the fork legs from the front? I have a feeling you need to swap you fork legs around. Reason I say that is 5 1/2" is pretty wide for a front wheel.

OHHHHHHH, snap!!! Thank you that is what it needs. Serious facepalm!!
You rock!! Can I have a Homer Simpson DOH!!!!

EDIT: Spoke too soon.

So I swapped the fork tubes, and the forks are still too wide for the axle.
Going to have to get a longer axle. Thanks for the help though.

Tubes swapped. The dropouts almost need to be welded to the outside of the inside of the tube. The axle length is 5 1/2 inches but the width of the dropouts are 6 and the mark halfway between the 1/4 and 1/2 inches. (Sorry I don't know the all of the tape measure marks yet.)

I was hoping that was it. Maybe get in touch with Imperial to see if they can help out with the axle.

Oh

I do like bicycledesigner. Lots of parts and their site is easy to navigate.
I need to figure out how to remove the front axle. Pressed in bearings.
