It may look like something sold in one of those out of the way shops with the windows painted black, but trust me. It's my new intake. The silicone tube comes premade with this 45 degree bend. I'll have to cut it to size but I'm hoping this solves my problem. Now it's time to get the bike out as is and test for leaks.

I wonder if that silicon tube will be stiff enough?
Seems fine. I'll have to trim some off of both ends so the shorter length will add to the stiffness. It will need to be somewhat flexible to get the carb where I want it. I'll also need (want really) a way to secure the carb to the bike so it doesn't bounce around much. Hopefully I can come up with something more pro looking than just twisting on some wire.
