-Porous castings causing a lean condition that is not repairable

I got good results with my methods after refinement.

Anyone ever fill a gouge like that with JB weld then sand it smooth? How did it turn out? In this forum there are no stupid ?'s, capiche? I know someone has tried it, fess up, it only hurts once it's out.

I would think the Bernzomatic AL3, overdone and honed out would be better than JB, but the wear resistance on a high wear area would still be poor.
