Yeah, like Van said, have you solved your problem yet? Originally I read your post for some ideas on why my motor quit, but I got distracted by your intro. Sorry bout that...didn't mean to ignore your problem. Some of the other posts mentioned locking gas caps. I bought a cap from Dax that replaced the gas cap on an old Honda 70 perfectly. I think that was locking originally. I forgot what it was called, but it is a step through from the 70's
