I bought a Wild Cat PK 80. The spark plug boot that came with the kit seems to be the kind that thread in. I couldn't get the boot to snap down on the plug so I unthreaded the cap on the spark plug and the boot threads on. I don't want this though as it makes the boot impossible to remove once assembled. I'm looking for a boot replacement. What do I need to know to buy a boot that just snaps on? How do I differentiate the types when I see them online?

These seem to work for me.They will fit 7mm or 8mm wire.

Go to motorcycle shop and get a new wire and boot all in one piece. The old wire just screws out of CDI, just beware the new one may be bigger and you'll have to sand down the first inch of wire.
