So what causes that? I think it's the 2nd time ever I had a spark plug stop sparking at all (in many years and vehicles). no visible damage or fouling.

Pretty sure the only other time was also an NGK plug, but not 100% on that. Just that most bikes and cars I've owned had NGKs in them.

Also, I wonder if this is my imagination or not, but I could just about swear the China plug that I used to get to the auto parts store for a new NGK did not run as well/have as much power as it did immediately after changing the plug to the new NGK? I suppose part of it could be that it cold started on the China plug, but I'm not convinced that's all there was to it. Seemed the China plug worked, but did not build RPMs as quickly or easily as the NGK did.

It's recommended by members here on Motoredbikes.com to throw away the China S/P and get NGK

China S/P that come with a 2 stroke M/B kit are junk = weak spark = poor combustion = loss of power

NGK S/P = strong intense spark = good combustion = more power

Where did you buy the NGK plug? Lots of counterfeits out there. You can tell by the packaging and the print on the plug. Slight differences, if you look it up lots out there what to look for on YT. Ebay and Amazon are/were selling them.

Both over the counter at NAPA auto parts. I don't think they're counterfeit.

It's kinda funny, but the only time I've ever used the China plugs I got with kits, were all just trips from my house 1/2 mile to the auto parts store for an NGK. Good thing I saved it or I would have had to take the bus this time.

Is it the plug, or just the wire? Put the plug in a known running machine and see if it sparks.
Only have one machine that takes a plug. All I know is with it installed no spark, every other spark plug I own sparks in the bike, except the old NGK I ran for about a year.

I change my NGK every spring whether it needs it or not...Cheap insurance to avoid a plug going bad on ya when your relying on it.

No one wants to take the bus if they have a dependable means of transportation...lol...lol.

Another one rides the bus...lol.

The AC Delco platinum plugs in my truck are 18yo and it runs great, only 63k on the clock.
