There’s been a lot of discussion on spark plugs lately on the forum, NGK has changed their numbering system to show the four digit stock order number and the regular number. Most stores go by the stock number. Here is a list of the most popular plugs for two strokes.

B4HS : 4110 / B5HS : 4210 / B6HS : 7534
B7HS : 5110 / B8HS : 5510

Extended tip
BP4HS : 3611 / BP5HS : 4111 / BP6HS : 7331
BP7HS : 5111 / BP8HS : 2630

The plug number itself has not changed...lets be clear about this, you still ask for correct plug number at the automotive counter.

Let me do some clairification here on these numbers.

NGK-B6HS IS the actual spark plug number.

7534 IS a stock number that auto parts stores use to order them, they order by STOCK number on the bar code, not the actual plug number.

NGK has not changed their numbering system at all, your spark plugs and the box they come in will still be marked with an actual NGK number but also will show the stock number on the box as well.

The bar code on the box actually contains the number 7534 as the last four numbers of the barcode that they all order by.

Ps...If you order direct from NGK, you may well have to order by stock number like the autopart store do.

-10 is your nickel plated marine plug... H is 12.5 mm deep or 1/2"... 14mm threads..

This is your short plug for clearances..

If other part store employees are like they are here they can't or don't want to find the standard number, if you give them the four digit number they can find it. I had to look up a number all give it to the guy behind the counter.
