Sparks Jumping Around Electrode

I always run into this problem trying to put the clutch cover back on. I can't get it flush with the engine, its like the drive sprocket's rod is in the way. It doesn't go in any farther, I tried moving the clutch arm and neither helps. What should I do?

The best way is disconnect clutch cable from the arm then move the arm until it goes on.

that looks flush now lift arm and move it around it will drop in right
