You can't see what the ratio is because the sprockets on the jackshaft aren't visible and the OP has given us no information about his build, just this one blurred picture.
"Y" chain arrangement is great for reducing the drivetrain losses associated with the three chains and six sprockets in a "Z" arrangement (SBP shift kit).
However, it prevents the use of the front gears. It's a 1x8 setup, so the chainline is more cross-chained in the high and low gears than it would be on a 2x8 (which is generally used as 1x the lower 5 + 1x the higher 5).
