Hey guys! It's getting warmer, I started to leave my room more often, lol. Do you guys have any calculator for port timing? Or I should just measure and post my values? Can someone please help with that? Thanks!
Exhaust Duration Calculator Stroke: mm Conod Length: mm Piston Crown to Top of Barrel at TDC: mm Height over Port, Top of port to top of barrel: mm Exhause Duration (…
I measured, the exhaust opens at28mm from the top of the jug, closes at 39. It doesnt actually close, the piston doesnt go down more.
Transfer opens at 33 and also closes at 39 (Again, piston doesnt go down more, and here im talking about inside the jug where the piston is. i dont know about the skirt clearance)
I'm pretty sure this is not right. Not the measurements, the piston's location. Do I buy a new jug?

No that's normal and you're lucky if the transfers open at 33 most are at 30-31 at best and the lower they are the better the blow down duration. We tend to raise the exh a bit to get the desired blow down, using the calc if you do the input's right and put 25 as the exh depth from deck it should say the duration is then around 160 something and that's about as far as you should go there!
So, the timing is right?? Do I need to worry/fix anything?
Also, should i dremel the skirts out for the transfer to clear it at bottom? (If they are in the way)
(This is the jug that I got the bottom milled off of)

Oh, okay, thanks. So I guess timing is OK?
If yes, I'll start looking into compression. This is the engine that didn't start.
Also, what size jet do you recomend testing with a CDH G2 reed, windowed piston and the scooter exhaust? I have a 75 if it fits, its from a really old scooter. I have the 70 installed right now, and it didn't start with that.
