Staton chain tension?

Can someone please tell me what the ideal chain tension is on the staton gear and chain.
If it's too loose it feels jerky but I don't want to load it up too much.
So is there a good rule of thumb for tension?

It should be snug, but not stretched tight. The 'jerky' feeling you're getting when the chain is too loose is wearing the sprocket/chain more than it should.

Be sure to rotate the chain all the way around and check the tension at several points. It will vary, as the sprockets aren't usually completely round. At the tightest point, you should be able to move the chain sideways only a half inch or less.
