It is so you can use springs to hold the exhaust to the cylinder. Expansion chambers vibrate and soft prevents cracking. I have zeda's version (didn't know Fred sold them) and rubber bushings to mount my pipe. Probably not necessary on smaller chambers like yours though.

With the old flange setup it had almost an inch longer length.
This is a wild little setup with this Xport / flange from Fred.

Seems to have lost a little down and dirty get up and go though, and gained another 1+MPH lol

Ok, i just added a 3 inch piece in between a 45 and the last 90 lol

Back to 28MPH but a boat load of crazy low speed get up and go like i like

I have a reason, a few reasons actually for not wanting to go over 28-29mph lol

I have what i need at this time, the down and dirty throttle response

oh yeah i changed back to the 1" briggs cigar muffler on the shorter outlet pipe of the modded SBP expansion chamber.

Sound like a low gutteral purring againn
