Stuck throttle slide

You can remove the bowl, float, main jet, and needle jet tube (what the main jet feeds into) and try to use a small rod to tap the slide out from the bottom, but given how cheap these carbs are, and the fact that you said a part of it already broke off from trying to remove it... Just get a new carb.

Also, I am trying to figure out how you seem to be the biggest magnet for silly disasters I have seen in a long time. It boggles my mind...

Don't even mess with that carburetor anymore then since it is probably pretty screwed up by now and trying to find parts in Northern Ireland for a BoFeng carburetor will be next to impossible...Fortunately for you, the carburetor for that motor is readily available to you from amazon.co.uk in Northern Ireland for cheap money, 18.88 in Euros...lol.

Hello my friend if you have any part that broke off that carb, I agree with the posts that say to buy a new one. However there are problems with most of the china made parts.

As I spent three weeks after winning a fully built bike from the local auction house, a bike that was fully built and with low run time.

I bought too many different parts too fast tell you, only the ignition went right on and worked like it should, the rest of the parts I either sent back or had to work with to get them to fit and work.

Even the HP carb doesnt work starting with how the throttle cable doesnt fit the carb so you have to bend the cable MICKEY MOUSE,

I am 69 years old and with decades of riding and working on all types of motorcycles and I've not ever run into all the problems these china made bikes and parts all seem to have with the exception of the stock NT carb, however dont expect to buy jets for it if so the best of luck.

Since the parts are knock offs and they dont know how to give anything a name or a number to order by. Dont ask me how they sell it all and worse do a inventory! Sorry but thats how nuts this stuff made me!

The stock carb is a NT and after soldering the jet it came with and drilling it out slightly to achive the right sized for the right amount of fuel, Mine now runs great.

I wont go into the rest.

stock NT carb,
The stock carb is a NT
Most of the newer "Chinesium" kits over the past couple or three years now have been coming stock with the JRL BoFeng carburetors instead of the NT's.

They are a decided improvement over the basic NT and are quite similar except the metal, such as it is, is thicker where it needs to be especially where it fastens onto the intake tube or reed valve, and they also have an emulsifier tube in them that the NT never had, for better atomisation of the air/fuel mix making the throttle more responsive through all ranges with smoother action.

There are jets out there for both the NT and the BoFeng carburetors that come with these kits. Not sure why you think there isn't. Most NT carbs use 5mm Dellorto jets, and Treatland sells all of the sizes one may need to tune one of these 2 strokes. There are some NT's that use 6mm jets as well, which is why it's always a good idea to measure the one in the carburetor first. You can also buy jet kits for them through some retailers, such as Bikeberry.

The BoFeng carbs use Keihin jet 99101-124. The BoFeng also has a bunch if improvements done to it that make it a superior carb to the NT. I did the leg work on finding that jet number by simply using the measurements of the jets and doing a little research.

For what they are the NT and BoFeng are decent carbs, honestly. You can only expect so much from a single jet carburetor. What really tends to let them down is mainly the rubber pieces. The NT in particular is prone to leaks from the fuel tickler and problems with it's thin casting breaking when trying to clamp it to the intake. The biggest reported issue with the BoFeng seems to be float needle sealing problems, although I have personally not had this issue. Leaking from the bowl drain seems to be another complaint, but again I have personally not had this problem.

The HP carb is universally accepted as a crap carburetor by any and all that have either worked with it or just paid attention to other peoples waste of time and misfortune trying to make them work. There is always one or two people that say they had luck, but the other 900,000 people weren't so lucky.

Welcome to the forum. If you don't mind we'd love to hear more about your bike, but please post it and an introduction in the new members section!

The HP carb very few have gotten to run right. It's a garbage little sales gimmick. The NT isn't really as common anymore, as Damien mentioned. The BoFeng is actually a much better carb and is very simple. But members here have even found ways to improve it!

I have a couple HP carbs sitting on the shelf, they don't even made a good paper weight let a lone a good carb.

The problem is lack of a adjustable needle like the NT and Bo Feng have. You can setup the jet to run well at WOT but it will run like a dog at lower RPM or vs versa. Good low, terrible high.

Some have managed to mess with the size of the fuel delivery tubes that are uncovered as the slide opens but these motors can be so finicky that with temperature and altitude changes all the work is for nothing and you have to try and adjust it all over again.

With the BoFeng a simple needle adjustment is all that is usually required.
