Some of these chinese kits come with bad 415 chains. I put a 41
next to a 415 and the lengths did not match. It explained why the
415 was coming off. The 41 solved the problem.
Yeah, forget the 415 altogether and run a #41. Dont use 41 links on a 415 chain, it might work- sure. But just use a #41 instead. It's a better chain. I got mine in canada at princess auto for $30 with a bag of links ($22 +$3 + tax) a little more expensive here in the north but it's ten feet and i can make a few of them for cheaper than a single questionable quality 415. The 41 hasn't come off at all. Upgrade and you wont be dissapointed

No, RK makes good chain, some of the kit supplied chains are very bad. When I first started building bike every kit came with standard 410 chain, the first thing to do was replace the chain.
The smaller lighter chain is going to clear tight tolerance and it's going to soak up less power ... Not going to get bunched up and jam in the sprocket...
