Sunlite single spring fork quality??

Regarding the repo Chinese Girder fork I fell in love with. Could be a fatal attraction, the side links bothered me for good reason. They are not parallel. Here is a link "A Brief History of Girder Forks "

it'd be pretty evil handling, but I think it's likely a very strong design. might buck you off, but I don't think it's gonna fold on you. no reason you couldn't modify it for better handling either.

actually looking at it again it's just not set up in the promo photo.

in the first picture they're closer to parallel. makes sense, some bikes have longer steerer tubes than others. in the second, it actually is parallel as far as I can tell. you might get lucky with it and have the right steerer length, or you might have to make some modifications to it to make it totally safe. it'd be a simple modification to braze an extension link to the top bar.

as is, I'm a fan. girders are cool no matter what they're on or how bad they are.
