Yeah that, If you modify a engine especially raising compression higher spark energy is needed to jump the plug gap, air is a resistor, in a standard engine you will notice easier starts and better idle.

Just pick up one of those NGK wire and boot kits and an NGK plug...The stock cdi is more than enough for the average build even modded within reason. If you want an increase in spark power get you an OZ super magneto and you're good to go.
