Switchblade build or fools errand?

I have not swapped the jet- I believe it’s a “95” in there now. Didn’t want to spend $10 And not be right, then another 10 over and over. And the plug looked dark and wet so I’m second guessing the over lean idea. I actually have 3 of these engines- maybe I’ll try something on a spare and see how it goes.
You guys are telling me it could really not run at all with an over lean situation and by going from a 95 to a 130 could/should fix it? Oh- and I feel confident that it wasn’t a vacuum leak

*edit- I’m such a dope. See pic for what I actually bought. Same questions apply
Those carbs are an experiment waiting to happen anyway, so you have to be willing to put in a little time to get them right. The main jet has to be bigger and the pilot jet has to be smaller, less fuel on start up and more at WOT. The OMB jets should work perfectly.
I have the same carb on my kart,

F-ing-A. Worked like magic. I disassembled the whole thing- then soda blasted everything to within an inch of its life- put it all back together with the new jets Vrooommm!

details- the soda blaster is basically this- https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-500-Sandblaster/ but loaded with basic arm and hammer baking soda. This works so well I could hardly believe it. Skip step two at your peril.

the jets are slightly different than the original. The head on the main jet has a slightly smaller diameter and the pilot jet is ever so slightly different. However thread size is the same and someone on old mini bikes forum said he had the same experience with no issues. They work perfectly. J- E- T- S- Jets-Jets-Jets.

unfortunately it seems the the needle valve isn’t properly seating and fuel is leaking like none other. Perhaps some corrosion made its way in there? Or maybe I installed the float up side down? Whatever the case- it’s around 100* outside and I’m done for the day.

The float only goes one way, otherwise it won't hold the needle. Clean, clean, clean.
I got more, how experienced of a rider are you? I'm pushing a 260lb cart so need all I can get.

at great risk of heatstroke- I Found the problem- a bit of debris in the valve. Cleaned and all seems well.
not sure how my riding experience plays into this- I suppose these simple issues wouldn’t require y’all’s input. Either way I sure do appreciate the help.

If you are a good rider, I can give you a couple tips to get a bit more out of your motor and doesn't cost much either. If you're a new rider, then what you have now is plenty and when you get used to riding it, then step it up a bit.

At the end of our last episode, our hero was cleaning carburetors, questioning the relevance of riding skills, and avoiding serious progress. On today’s episode Saddlebags! Also our tank finds a home. All in pictures.
