I saw a tandem on Craigslist and thought, "I'll bet I could put a motor on that.", and did. I tow a trailer behind it so I am as long as a car. I mounted a moped horn powered by a rechargeable 12v power supply that I also use to power the headlights. I also mounted inertia brake lights on the rack and on the trailer. Top speed is like 33mph, but I'm usually cruising at 23 anyway. I am not in a hurry when I ride. I built a third wheel seat for it, but it won't stay straight. It gets super squirrely at high speed. I recently added the springer forks on the front. I bent the originals jumping the bike. I can get the whole bike off of the ground, but I don't do it much any more.
