:geek: Hey room. Can anyone tell me how many miles the stock chain tensioner will last on a stock HT? I do keep the grease slapped to the chain. That's one of the big worries I have is riding for very long distances?

Appreciate.............

Glen

I don't know, but the tensioners are only $10 to 20, so you should buy a spare.

I mounted mine on the pedal side, to even out the 2 chains, so it should last me a really long time.

If its necessary for your design build, just keep an eye on it to make sure all the bolts are tight, and make sure the bearing/bushing stays lubricated. When it gets some slop in it or wear in the plastic, just change it out to be safe.

I am just guessing, but I bet it will last 500 miles or more if not kept under a lot of tension.

If you ride long distances, see the threads on tool bags and keep a spare chain with you.

mine lasted about ten seconds before the thread stripped.

then about 2000km of sheer neglect when i welded it in place.

now replaced with a modified skateboard wheel :)

Ok, Well, guess I'll keep on coaching it along ....................Uno, one must keep in mind that this is made of wonderful China metal? That's why I was trying to get some kind of background on this little piece.

See, it would be the pits to be so many miles away, and it just disintegrates.

Thanks,
Glen
