"the butcher" E85 bike project.

since i cant leave anything alone,
i decided to try to make a preformence bike the cheapest way possible, with a jet drill kit and a dremel!

first modifications:

raised the cylinder 1.5ish mm with base gaskets.
adjusted to exhaust port duration to 170deg (shaved about 4mm off of the exhuast port)
and fixed the casting flash from the cylinder.
upjeted the carb for E85 (#64 drill bit)
set the squish gap to .5mm
And cut the piston skirt.

still trying to find a used dirt bike pipe for cheap. and im waiting on the 36t sprocket.

but the build is going pretty good so far (im trying to aim for a good midrange and topend)
it currently clocks in at 35mph (had to let off, it was very slippery outside) still need to fix the wheel hope (rear wheel had a flat spot somewhere and its make the whole bike rattle)

anyway pics below!

Sorry but this makes no sense,If you raised the cylinder 1.5 mm and the cylinder was not decked to take that 1.5mm off the top it's impossible to have .5mm squish since there was allready over 1mm before you raised it and now would be 2.5mm or more!

I shaved the cylinder head (i ment jug) the same amount(I think i took off a bit more, cant quite remember at the moment) with a belt sander

Then i shaved the cylinder head to the correct squish gap (.5 in my case) i did the solder trick and thats what i measured. Sorry to confuse you

Oh ok,the solder trick is great for checking what it is stock or untouched but when you deck the cylinder and bring the crown flush to the deck your gasket thickness now becomes the squish clearance.Shaving the stock head reduces the squish bands width slightly and effects comp more so than correcting the squish witch doesn't conform to the piston dome anyway.

UPDATE:

i got my 36t sprocket today as well some some spare jets (drilled out the stock 69 get a new e85 jet)

Went out today and it hit 41mph!!
And it still has plenty down low, still would nice to get a dirt bike pipe (i would need to make it pretty quiet, or the HOA would be on my ass again)

But it runs great thus far!
