The Good Bike Deal Thread.

I see where Rad is coming out with a rear suspension Fat Tire Bike soon that's gonna blow the Rover away
and it's gonna cost a little over $3k
I think it's gonna have F&R hub motors and 20ah battery or batteries ?

Well since you "forgot" to send me the other Rover, you can just send me this one when it comes out then...lol...lol.

Don't forget you'll have to pay a Hazardous Material charge for shipping a E bike battery, usually an extra $60
The shipper pays. Not the buyer is my experience with over 10 battery purchases. Now for as the returns. You don`t want to go there as the shipping price on L ion batteries is off the wall.

Exactly, That's why I like stuff built with off the shelf items.

But as they get more refined, they are getting very proprietary.
If you stay away from the factory builds you can use pretty much any battery brand you want. The Bafang, cyc and a couple others allow general battery compatibility. The brose, bosch, shimano, yamaha, etc. must have batteries that comunicate with the controllers. Locks you in to high price batteries. Also these factory builds require spec. frames for the specific motors. CYC with torque sensing are great for mtn. biking as you can use any brand batt. from 36 to 72 volts. 2ct. from yrs. of building and riding em. Motorize builds for me are novelty bikes I just love to play with. Not enough torque for off road mtn. bike type riding. The torque for a good e mtn. build is 160 or more n meters.
