The Motored Biker Revolution!!

Pick a State with the worst laws. Get 20 of us to rattle some windows. I'm all about peacefull change.
My initial plan was to do all other states before NY, so that way if we could get the other states that simply ignore MBs to specifically define them... then we could tackle NY last with the weight of the other 49 states. However, we might be able to do NY first as there's no possible outcome that could be worse than it already is... other than officials warning the coppers to be on the look out for some funny lookin' bicyclists, like machiasmort... hehe.

There was no reason for this cop not to have been charged as a criminal. If somebody in the crowd of onlookers would have decked him and no camera was there??? His actions were totally irrespocible, he could have killed this guy for no reason other than ridding his bike.
QFT... I still don't understand what that copper's problem was. He should definitely have served some jail time and been fired immediately.

Sparky, interesting loop hole??? I'd like input on this one. If your homeowners covers personal liability (somebody sues you), is it still uninsurred??? I mean if somebody sues you and your homeowners covers it? How could the State nail you for no insurance if they don't allow you to register it in the first place? Your still covered under policy right???
I'm confused by your question. Ignoring the State... if you have a policy, the insurance agency must abide for as long as the contract is valid. That's not what you're looking for, but I'll try again if you rephrase.

Sparky,

You get arrested for no insurance. Techinically you can't register your HT in NY.
I feel a valid point to argue is not that you couldn't register your HT but that your property insurance (homeowners) covers you!!! Most policies to my understanding have a personal liability umbrella if I'm not mistaken? There your Honor, I was insured to the best of my ability and furthest extent NY law allows.

OK.. so now that we're not ignoring the State anymore, your question is about doing something that the State doesn't permit.

If you bring a motor vehicle on the roads of NY (or is it just NYC?), while they have a law against doing such a thing... then what difference does it make whether you have home owner's insurance or not?! Sure you'd be able to get outta that one ticket, but if you got hassled with the cop's gonna give you a lot more tickets than just one based on you having or not having insurance.

I really wish I could find that law (?) stating motorized bicycles are illegal in the whole state...

I know I read somewhere if it's powered by electric or gas and on NY roads it must be registered. I'll try to find it again. Key word powered, what if I'm peddaling?
