The Urban Fatbiker 2025 Fleet

Always the excuse to post pictures, my fleet of motorized bikes is ready to serve me.

A Fleet must meet the bare minimum of three:
If your fixing on one,
And you break one,
You can still ride one.
More is better, but some spouses object.
🤨

With no more yapping, here's the fleet.

Buzzbike!
48cc jackshafted to a 6-speed cluster, full navigation light set w/battery good for hours of riding.
Schwinn Ranger steel frame, everything replaced with quality stuff.

Its been very reliable, the drive is almost bulletproof. Dual collared and dimpled shaft on a reinforced double-plated highly modified SBP bracket, quality bearings, LFaster freewheel crankset with a DITKA ebike HD clutch bearing.
The odometer shows over 1600 miles, that's with the current hardware. Some may remember when it was a scrap bike with a Ryobi diy FD. Its come a long way from that monstrosity.

Its my workhorse, any off-road, bad weather, or my truck is broke for three weeks and we get hungry...

Urban Fatbike!
Its my flagship, a few thousand miles on it. BAFANG BBS02 driving 7 gears.
Has identical lght system w separate battery as my motorbike.

Handlebar layout on both is similiar, as mid-drives they both shift the same way, about same max speed, but performance is much different.

The ebike will chug up a steep hill, but I have to help the motorbike...whereas if I'm helping, I can pedal thru the whole range of power on ebike, getting a hella kick in speed.

The audio for the Fleet sourced from dual Tribit Stormbox MicroII synced in stereo.20W x 2 n your face.

Whizwheels Terratrike!
A 2000 vintage with drum brakes, no front gears...a SRAM DualDrive hub is 3 speed internal / 7-speed derailluer.

Driven by a BAFANG BBS02 this thing is scary! It'll crawl up the steepest hill, and go over 30mph.
How much over, I don't know, got it to 31 in the flats today, and wasn't running highest speed mode. With butt 8" from Earth that is like a gocart with a turbo. 😁

Downhill? OMG at 35 it was all I could stand, especially this wiggly hill, I was smokin' dem drum brakes...

The flags? One is a bandana autographed by Chip Foose.
Did he actually sign it? I dunno.
But he gave it to me.

The Urban Fatbike is not for nature trails. Its nature is the city. Here we see Urban Fatbike:

1- providing music entertainment at a local vegan eatery (great for us afflicted by ticks - screw naturešŸ–•)

2- overlooking a cluster of cagers in their metal boxes having a scuffow on the asphalt riverbed.
😁

So where is the pic of the "decent" dash????...lol.
I know it looks real rough, but it only has one crack at the bottom, and my dash is split into 3 pieces. That carpet that's glued to the top actually saved the thing from getting cracked. I'm gonna pull it next week if I can. I wanna get it out before snakes start coming out because that truck is wayyyy back.in the yard. About a 2 mile hike and half of that is over a bunch of ild Japanese and swedish cars

Saab's and Volvo's...lol...lol.
Saabs, Volvos, a few Astons(ik not Japanese or swedish) so many old civics and cavaliers, a few old Datsuns, tons of old mazda hatchback cars. None of it newer than the late 70s. The poor cars have been there a very long time. My friend that I went with almost fell through the roof of a station wagon. He didn't think it would be rusted out under the leaves on top lol.

There is a reason why they are called JUNK yards...lol...lol.
