It really needs to be retorqued after every heat cycle with these Phantoms as they run quite a bit hotter than most CGs we are used to...I had to retorque every heat cycle for the first 50 miles until it started to really seat itself.

Just curious but have you taken any temperature measurements ?

Nope, I don't yet own a thermal gun...I just know it is running hotter than most regular CGs I have run in the past, but I also expected it would as well, being how powerful these things are and how they are designed to run....If I was to guess, I would say the top part of the jug is pretty close to 400* F

I have been. I'm getting between 315 and 349 degrees (the hottest I've seen) at the top of the head right next to the spark plug. The square top seems to run about 20 degrees under max...

...I've also taken a couple of measurements at the jug but not enough to be confident about these numbers yet. Those numbers have been in the 265-269 range...

NO max throttle. Hell, probably 3/4 throttle at the max... mostly 1/2 throttle and less.
