We live in the greatest Nation on earth, if you do not agree, get over it.

The birth of this Nation, was a birth bathed in blood, if you do not agree, get over it.

We have always honored those that have stood with arms to protect this Nation, if you do not agree, get over it.

We have always held in special Honor, those that died in the service of this Nation, if you do not agree, get over it.

We have always erected monuments to those fallen hero's, if they bother you don't look at them and by the way, if you do not agree, get over it.

I don't care what symbol is used, be it a cross, or a Mogen David, or an Islamic Crescent, or a statue of a man on a horse or a black granite wall of names. These are just symbols, in themselves they have no power to move us.

It is what they stand as symbols of that should and does move us. Symbols change over time in their nature and acceptability, but that for which they stand remains the same - the sacrifice of lives in the name of ideals.

To those whose vision is so blindered by hatred that all they can see is a religious symbol, when that cross is not that at all, but a symbol of service and sacrifice, I say - Open your hearts, release the fences upon your minds. Acknowledge the sacrifices of those who went before you, and be grateful for their faithfulness.

Maybe not my place as a neighbor to the North to butt in to a situation that doesn't involve us.
We had an incident where some one in France put a banner on a WW1 Canadian Monument at a grave yard telling us to "Take our trash home with us".
I don't know if they were ever found.
Myself, anyone who doesn't want to honour a war memorial should have a flag pole thrust in thier cheeks and be forced to sing the National Anthem as they are being very slowly roasted over a hot fire. Maybe then they will understand the true meaning of suffering as our young women and men who served did.
    God Bless.

Screw those Liberial Idiots. The ONLY reason that they can be and say what they want is because of a soldier. Never Forget them!

MM-The real tick off was I lifted weights and ran track and cross country in school.
When you go to serve your country your not up to thier standards?
I sent my fair share of rabitts to the stew pot with these bad eyes and an old singe shot 22 with no sight.
The crazy part was Dad said in the second war they were just as picky and we were bleeding men at a terrible rate.

    The Cross

I think the cross should stay. There's no greater symbol of hope and love. I'd like to think that many of those who want it removed from public view may not fully understand what it symbolizes. Anyone who'd like to know more about the cross can read about it in the New Testament of the Holy Bible. Below is a link.

My heartfelt "thank you" to all veterans. I hope you all had a happy and blessed Memorial Day. We all owe you much more than we can say. God bless you all.

May God bless, keep and guide America and make her a "city that is set on a hill" ... "the light of the world" as in Matthew 5:14.
