thinking about motorizing the kulana Moon Dog

Egor, my new KMD looks like your green one. When the weather gets better I'm going to start the build. Thanks for the good information about the seat.

My first build is based on a "Giant Iguana" mountain bike, and it runs strong. It vibrates when going down steep hills, but doesn't vibrate under power. I'm thinking that I can do something with the motor mounts to minimize that vibration.

But, I'm looking forward to building the KMD, that's what I wanted in the first place, but couldn't find one until now.

got a quick question for you guys for my build.

would you know the following info for the moon dog??

Headset Size:
Stem Size:
Head Tube Size:

I don't know where to measure for the specs.. I'm about to order a springer front but don't know which one to get from ebay.

Also, what is the tallest ape hanger bars can I run with the stock cables??

Any advice and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

*edit*

Love my Moon Dawg

Carol calls her "The Electric avocado" But make a sweet lil MB! Is a really small bike so almost have to have a bent seat post. Best up grade on her, I have done. (pictured is with solar powered head lights)((...and my DIY bracket failed and light is pointed down, lol))

Future mods:
Bigger carb, tuned pipe, more cosmetic stuff, SBP shifter kit or maybe build a mountain bike with a shifter.

My other bikes with Kulana.

I made a motor mount that mounts engine very well. Carb is nice and level and it wont allow engine to move. If you mount it by drilling a hole into frame not only do you risk ruining the frame by engine vibration wallowing your drilled hole but the engine will eventually start leaning to the left from vibes!

Here is a link to my post on how to build one out of cheap materials but a good steady mount that wont allow engine to lean or move at all.
