Yup. What they are describing there is the standard kit. But the price is suspiciously low. Something's not adding up. I don't think I'd recommend it.

No phone # and my guess is that it's a typo and the dude meant $175

If it's really $75 buy as many as you can!!! :devilish:

PS: The photo is not of actual kit.

I have called him, he said he could do $75 for the motor kit or $145 for bike w/ motor on it. im going to try it out

if it isn't a new kit, but rather one that has been installed on a bike already, then you may have problem - bought a dead bike once for $125 that looked nice & motor wasn't seized

turns out the guy had built a few and had put all his dead parts on this one bike - dead CDI, dead mag coil, cracked carb and the motor had both mains loose so that firing it up caused the seals to lift at high rpm - oh yeah, and the rear derailer had broken spring

still looks pretty tho, so I've fixed all and am keeping it for myself

How many $75 full kits does he have for sale?

Did he happen to say why he was selling the kit/s was so cheap?

$75 is a below wholesale price for a kit and about what the biggest
importer pays for container loads of motors after all their

Anyway please let us know how the deal goes. :)

It's a deal if you can pick it up yourself. If he ships it to ya ($20+) Then it's close to the same price as a BGF engine. My last BGF engine kit was $106 to the door.

BGF may get kits as cheap as $60.
How did you get BGF to ship a kit to CA?

Come on Red, you can't be that stupid to send money to some wacky guy
selling under priced $75 kits on Craigslist. :grin5:

I usually have an ad online selling motorized bike stuff and I answer my
phone, so about a year ago I get a call asking if I want to buy some
50 cc kits that they never got around to putting on bikes.

Of course I hustled over there and got 4 unopened good older kits that
had the Russian style clutch lever for $200 or $50 each.

Turns out they had no clue about what they had because they were 66 cc
kits and I sold them for almost $200 each.

It only took about 3 days to sell them off for an easy $600 profit.

Thats why I kinda suggested picking it up yourself. If the guy wont let ya open a box to inspect, then walk away.
Anytime ya send someone money ya take a chance. Just try to use paypal so you have at least SOME recourse.

Of course, you realize now that everyone here hates you for getting a deal any one of us would have taken 10 or 20 of : )

It's cheap but it works. Just put on better nuts. It's the one I'm using on my bike.
P.S. You might have to cut one arm of the U-bolt to keep it from hitting the engine. You'll see what I mean when you install it.

Hey Gibbles, just for your own piece of mind and for the benefit of others, write down every dollar you pay for anything build related, and your hours to build it.

If you want to be really awesome come back after 100 miles and say what you have had to do in that time and if it's all you hoped it would be.
