This doesn’t seem right the two gears are barely meshed together. And the clutch plate is off center from the gear
On the bottom it is closer to the gear than the top
You can see the clutch pads on the top through the plate gap
Just wanted to rule out a potentially severely out of true crank. I am going to go out on a limb here and assume there is something off about the clutch considering the pressure plate and gear line up so poorly. Just need to figure out which one it is.

You have to adjust the clutch, the flower nut has to go in a bunch yet. The stud that it is installed on should be almost flush with the outside of the flower nut.
Turn the engine over from the mag side with a socket and watch the gears and see if the gap changes as you turn. might be bent/ crank. Take the plug out for easy turning.
The gap might go away once the clutch is adjusted.
