(Read last post)I was pulling on my throttle cable while twisting it to see if it was just too loose and thats why my throttle was sticky and when doing it my throttle cable must have stretched because i was riding for a bit and it was fine and then the throttle felt loose and didnt do anything, turns out it snapped just before the tip that goes into the throttle tube,i tried soldering it although it didnt work so i ordered a new one and i was wondering if anyone has any tips for stopping cables snapping as easily

It happens with cheep Chinese cables

Kinda surprised it broke are ya giving the throttle force past full throttle that'll put unnecessary strain on the cable

Oh well, buy another cable

maybe a member has a link to a quality throttle cable for ya

Ah thank ive got one on a non Chinese website so maybe it will be decent

I have a technique for fixing the cable when that happens, that I've used a few times with no problem.
I take a blue wire connector ( any kind works), and I crimp it really good to the end of the cable. Then you cut the end of the connector off leaving just a like 1/4 in. Of it attached to the cable THEN solder it.
Works for me every time.
