I got just about everything for my tandem trike worked out, then realized that tires are going to be a problem.

I have been having my Schwalbe tires split down the center of the tread before they are worn out. http://commutercycling.blogspot.com/2007/10/tire-liners-expose.html

And they have only about 175 lbs on each tire at the most (fully loaded bike)

The trike will have 20" tires, so I can't use an Armadillo tire.

I was looking at this video of a vehicle that has some strong looking tires but they look like they maybe solid tire. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1n5pjtybqE&feature=player_embedded

Any ideas where I can get a really strong 20 tire? for 250lbs@?

This might help.

I have used 2.50 X 16 moped tires on 20" bike rims. I think they are very close to the 20" bike tires in with. These are more sturdy than the bike tires I have seen, being used at highway speeds and DOT rated they should work well.

fiting bicycle rims?

Moped tires fits bicycle rims? Now that I think of it I may have seen this done.

Any suggestions of the tires that should be used? a link would help.

Where did you get the conversion chart from?
A friend who is a bicycle restoration fanatic - especially old Murray bikes - and a builder of customized mopeds and motorized bikes e-mailed it to me.

He thought I might find it useful. He was correct.
