took my engine apart to address clutch prob [ diagram ]

so i took it apart to address a clutch problem only to realize that when i went to put it back together i had a spring that i dont know what side of the clutch plate it goes. it is the spring that is about the diameter of a quarter and about an inch tall, what side of the clutch plate does it go?
any help?

Hey azkronic, where did you get that from? I would love a manuel with all specs for these things. I've been doing it blind and so far I've been lucky not to screw anything up.

clutch racer

Hi azbill.
You've responded to some of my threads before for which I thank you
and hope you can tell me now what to do.
I have seen on other posts comments about clutch racer and suggestion about adding ball bearings,as I thing this is my problem as I can see a gap
between the balls but couldn't work out how to take it apart.
I red that it is pressed together but I'd appreciate if you let me know how to
separate it and put it together.With Thanks. V.
