hey Folks,

I finally put my motorized bike together. I bought a kit on ebay for a 49cc engine. I found a mountain bike on freecycle. Put the two together and it runs ok. The clutch level snapped off (seems to have been made from some type of cheese), and just got a twist clutch, though haven't put it on yet. There always seemed to be too slack to disengage the clutch. Hopefully the twist will take care of that. Also, the throttle seems to stick. Still working on that one.

Welcome to the forum.
The clutch on my china girls seems to always need adjustment too. I have peddle started the thing without the ability to release the clutch on occasion but my clutch has always been willing to engage (power the wheel).
I made a lever throttle from an old thumb shifter to help with the sticky throttle cable (I can push the end of the cable with my fingers to close the throttle. You can buy a lever throttle at a place that sells quads if you want to go that route.
There are few problems on these bikes that can't be solved inexpensively.
